it turned out great, nice work. advanced critique huh? okay. at first glance the suit seems to have a much different appearance than the rest if the components of the image, in that the suit seems to be more defined by both lighter and dark tones overtop the primary tone, especially the buttons that really stick out. while it seems the shirt tie and head are defined mainly by the primary tone and a darker tone. I know this was painted from a photo, there's a common phrase passed around here at ACAD, "Photos lie"; dont be afriad to take artistic freedom to add tones and contrasts not seen in a picture. I think his head would seem alot more volumous if the primary tone was that which you used to define the cheeck bone, and use the lighter tones to purely as highlights rather than the primary tone. It helps to put an image in grayscale and compare the brightness of certain things. Would his head appear as bright as the white shirt? So yeah, very good likeness tho, and nice vibrant blues
